🎟 Tickets & Booking

How do I receive my ticket? Is it posted or downloaded?
After purchasing your ticket online through our website, you will receive an E-Ticket directly to your email address. Please check your spam/junk folders. The ticket can be printed or saved as a screenshot on your phone.

What do I do with my E-Ticket?
Your printed E-Ticket or mobile screenshot will be scanned by the driver when you board the coach.

Can I purchase a one-way ticket?
We only offer return tickets. If necessary, you may use a return ticket for one-way travel — just make a note when purchasing.

Can I get a refund on my ticket?
All bus tickets purchased on TheGigBus.ie are non-refundable.

What happens if the event or concert is cancelled?
If the concert or event is cancelled, we will offer a full refund on the price of your bus tickets. Booking fees are non-refundable.

🚌 Travel & Onboard Information

Are there toilets available on all TheGigBus.ie buses?
Not all buses or coaches are equipped with toilets.

Am I allowed to drink alcohol on the bus?
Alcohol is not permitted to be consumed on board the coach.

Can I bring bags or backpacks on the coach?
Yes. Bags and backpacks must be stored under the coach when boarding. These may be left under the coach during the event.

📍 Pick-Up & Return

What time should I be at my pickup location?
You must be at your pickup location 15 minutes before the departure time shown on your E-Ticket to allow for timely boarding.

How do I find my pickup location?
Please visit our Pick-Up Points page for directions. We can only pick up and drop off at locations listed on our website for each event. We strongly recommend familiarising yourself with your pickup point before the day of travel.

How do I find the coach after the concert has finished?
The coach will collect you at the same location you were dropped off, unless otherwise instructed.
We provide 24-hour customer support on the day of the event. If you need help locating your coach, contact us on +353 87 665 6582 (also printed on your ticket).

Will the coach leave without me after the event?
We allow 30 minutes after an event for passengers to return to the coach (depending on location). It is the passenger's responsibility to locate the coach.
If you have not contacted us and the 30-minute return time has passed, the driver will depart without you.

What if the concert finishes late or crowds delay my return to the coach?
As a dedicated concert travel company, we adjust departure times for each event. We always aim to ensure all passengers return safely.

👶 Age Policy & Licensing

Does a minor need to be accompanied by an adult?
Yes. Passengers under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Is TheGigBus.ie a licensed company?
Yes. TheGigBus.ie / Michael Friel Coaches is fully licensed by the National Transport Authority for every concert and event.

⏸ Rest Breaks

Will the coach stop for rest breaks?

  • For Dublin concerts: the coach stops for 15 minutes in Monaghan on the outbound journey.

  • Passengers boarding after Monaghan travel directly with no stops.

  • All return journeys are direct with no stops.

  • All Belfast concert buses are direct both ways, with no stops.

Is there a 24-hour emergency contact number?
Yes. The emergency contact number is printed at the bottom of your E-Ticket and is available 24 hours on the day of the concert/event.
